All about e-learning

Rita Bennink's Flexible Learning Leader experience includes this rich report (see link above), with Rita's comments, lists of key points plus further links to presentations and background on several sessions at the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) International Conference 2003.

I spent at least an hour and barely scratched the surface of the material made available by Rita. Here is a sample of just a little bit of what you can dig into:

  • William Horton explored the tools and technologies required for the implementation of elearning within an organisation -(and then William Horton's site has stacks of easy to follow material on many topics)
  • Martyn Sloman and Mark Van Buren presented an excellent session which covered some recent research into elearning in Fortune 500 companies both in the US and the UK
  • Marc J Rosenberg presented an excellent session looking at how to be successful in implementing elearning within an organisation
  • Usability testing of elearning: an essential and effective endeavour
  • Using branded blended learning solutions for today's competitive marketplace survival
  • a series of presentations over 3 hours demonstrating examples of elearning success and hurdles and pioneering of successful partnerships with educational organisations and industry
  • Social architecture; a new role for leadership
  • Balancing Act: work and life, with Linda David, a life coach - highly recommended.
