eTeam ends in CAOS!! - Our Final Report

At the beginning of June, staff members from the Adelaide Institute of TAFE were selected from expressions of interest to come together to develop an elearning leaders team. Some of the selected members had worked previously in the elearning environment, but for others it was a new experience. Criteria for selection included - keenness to be involved in elearning and willingness to be a catalyst to implement elearning within their own workgoup.

Members of the eTeam have worked exceptionally well together forming a network to share their own experiences and frustrations as well as reporting on progress made by their own workgroup colleagues. From within the team, there were a number of positive and unexpected results such as mentoring, greater collaboration amongst the members, a heightened awareness of the elearning skills and expertise of colleagues, and a network of supportive staff. Members of the team also experienced a greater recognition of their skills from their workgroup colleagues as well as several teams winning support from their managers to include implementation of elearning as part of the group's performance plan.

Now after 6 months it all ended in CAOS. The eTeam members had their final meeting, reporting on their progress and future directions and then adjourned to a morning tea celebration at the CAOS café.   Refer to the chart to see how eTeam members have infiltrated elearning within Adelaide Institute – looks like a disease outbreak!!   Another outcome for the eTeam was the development of an Implementation Plan for eLearning – see flowchart.
