Learning to use Powerpoint
PowerPoint is a standard application in the Microsoft Office suite of products and enables you to create slide shows on your computer screen.

Using Powerpoint, you can create individual slides, to which you can add text, graphics, sound, animation and video. When you have created all the slides you need, you can either present the slide show manually, or set up the slides so that they run themselves.

Powerpoint is often used by public speakers to illustrate a talk. Increasingly, Powerpoint is being used on the Web as a tool for delivering online learning.

This free online course is simple to follow and is designed to introduce you to the main functionality of PowerPoint. It may be a good idea to open up PowerPoint on your computer while doing the course, so that while reading these pages you can practice your new skills while you are developing them.

I felt the inclusion of the 3 exercises was brilliant. It allows the participant to judge how much knowledge retained and how well they did in the tutorial overall

Cannot access the page. As a relativiely new user and one yet to be convinced that it's not incredibly time wasting scrolling through/ trying to find websites I find this frustrating. Second time I have tried this month.

Covers the basics very well. The references to Publisher could be confusing if people aren't familiar with that application.

Thought it was good for a starting point had no trouble getting in and to all the powerpoint knockers I say My name is Warren Rowney and I'm employed as a learning facilitator by Carter Holt Harvey a very large player in the timber industry in Australia and New Zealand. As you can imagine this type of industry is full of hidden hazards and dangers ,just look as the injury stats. To all the knockers of powerpoint out there, I would have to say I find it one of the most powerful tools that I use for training as being able to import videos, pictures, etc without actually having to expose the trainees to these sort of dangers. Only being new to this role (12 momths) I think powerpoint is great and for me it just the beginning. Also I'm involved in a online learning team through the Learnscope project. Most of the other members of our team think as I do as well. signed new to the game, Wazza

page is not working tonight,it has errors written across it, generally I love the chalksoft tutorials, they are very easy to read, but can often let you down in connection for some reason - that's a bit disappointing.
