Learning Objects and the Information Environment

Many LearnScope projects are developing Learning Objects. This reference (thanks to EdNA) may be helpful.

Ian Dolphin and Paul Miller discuss the place of Learning Objects in the wider environment of learning in Issue 32 of ariadne e-journal. They present the work undertaken in producing exemplar objects by Iconex which has taken a distinctive approach, working with educators to develop specifications which ideally may be used in more than one context, and delivering implementations where key informational content is abstracted from the object, and provided in an external data (XML) file.
