Blocki is a newish web service which allows a user to publish a remotely hosted web site through a browser interface.
The look and layout of the pages can be selected from a list of samples. Sites can be organised hierachically if desired. The inbuilt web editor is pretty standard interms of features. Pages that a user makes can be used as a wiki. The site originator decides who can post. There is a web page import facility to import anything you have made already. The site comes with a blog facility pre-installed, though I didn't find this feature quite as intuitive as the rest of the interface. Pages can be public or private and annotation can be added by group members.
The service is free and has no ads other than the bloki logo appearing on your pages. The sign up procedure is not particularly intrusive. There is a demo section that you can log into as a guest user to try the features out. Windows IE users only I'm afraid.
The owners of Blocki have stated that they will be charging for a more sophisticated version.
Overall a good free tool for collaborative projects.
Update 25 July.
Bloki users can now add one or more forums to their site. Forums can be public or private can entries can contain rich formatting.
Also commenting on blogs is now available.
Bloki sites are are given a subdomain type address eg username.bloki .com so as to be easy to find and remember.
Wikis are web pages that can be edited online by a group of people. Bloki is just the name of a company. This company is called Bloki because it offers wikis and blogs.
Hope this helps.
