Web-Shui
Congratulations. The site that you've just completed is pure eye-candy! But is it usable?

Many web designers have never actually seen any users using their sites. If you're one of them, prepare for a bit of a shock. You'll probably find people are having trouble using your site. Especially if there's functionality involved and/or your site has been over-designed. Perhaps it's time you got acquainted with the science of Web usability...

For ideas and concepts you could do worse than visiting these two sites. The grandfather of usability, Jacob Nielsen has been writing his monthly AlertBox for many years and is considered by many to be the best in the business. A similar glow of fame surrounds Webword.com. An obligatory read with lots of hints and resources. Daily links and commentary by web-shui guru and site operator John Rhodes are one of the main features of the site. Read these regularly and you'll stay up to date and get some great ideas on how to stay on top of web design.
